Honoring the selfless life and legacy of Virginia Rose, the mission of the Virginia Rose Foundation is to
empower those in need to improve their quality of life.
Virginia Rose died unexpectedly of multiple myeloma cancer. Prior to her death she was a licensed practical
nurse at a nursing home and gave selflessly to her patients and coworkers, She earned the respect of
colleagues, doctors and employers by her dedication. She gave of herself tirelessly without regard to typical
physical or time measurements. Virginia Rose would ensure patients were fed, clothed and comforted, and as
an example, would sit with a dying patient who had no other family member until they crossed over.
Her heart was touched by each person she encountered, whether patient, doctor, employer, friend or family.
Her compassion, passion, tenderness, empathy, timeliness and humor and love of everyone whether family,
friend, coworker, employer will always be remembered by each life she touched. Her acts of love and
tenderness and humor are the inspiration for the
Virginia Rose Humanitarian Foundation.
